Rocheminster Dog Show

Every year up at Roche Habor, I get to join my aunt and uncle for the Banana Belt Festival and during the 3 day festivities...the Rocheminster Dog Show is always a highlight...along with the DRAG show...oh yes, men in dresses...priceless.

Here are a few of the contestants for this year's dog show. Winner of the most 'beautiful coat'...

Here's Tudi, just after her bath...and ready to be groomed and sassied up. She's the winner of the most 'spoiled dog'.

Here's the Grand Champion...Powder...who loves to fetch.

This Veshila, in her hunting gear and actually packing some heat, was honored the 'best dressed'

Laughter errupted when this 'stuffed' puppy was presented and it actually won 'best manners'.

And who couldn't love this face? Annie won 'Miss congeniality'..look at that smile. Love it.

Beauty in the San Juan Islands

I was up in the San Juan Islands this past weekend and it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Washington! Where else can you see soaring Bald Eagles...everywhere!?

I captured so may photos of this gorgeous American Icon. Did you know it takes several years for a young bald eagle to get their white tail and head?

The sunsets at Roche Harbor can take your breath away.

...they play Tapps as they lower the flag...all during the beautiful sunset. Roche Harbor is such a precious area...and definitely a hot spot for weddings.
The Hotel De Haro is a quaint hotel that has been around for ages.

The restaurant and bar are a local favorite and have some fun bands playing throughout the summer. Somewhere that I love to hang out and dance the night away ;).

Happily Ever After

"Woo hoooo...I'm married"...yells Alisa...as her and her new husband Sean leave the church.

I had the pleasure of being able to document Alisa and Sean's Wedding at the end of May. This couple was a blast to work with. Alisa was sweet, sassy, outgoing, and so much fun to be around.
Sean was laid back, a gentle soul and just a teddy bear at heart. Together they had so much love and faith in their relationship.

Spending time before a wedding is typically recommended by photographers...to allow the bride and groom to just BE in the moment and to capture those special, tender moments. Sean and Alisa got to see eachother at the Botanical Gardens in Bellevue prior the ceremony. These are some of my favorite photos of those tender moment.

Trying to protect your hair from the mist in Seattle is a hard thing to do...especially with a bouquet of lilies. These gals were good sports though having to brave the elements

Alisa's 40's inspired dress is so beautiful...and check out this wonderful couch.

Alisa changed dresses before walking down the aisle...a sweet surprise for Sean. Their ceremony was filled with so much emotion (I've never seen a bride so giddy..."I'm getting married" she giggles as she stands on the alter with Sean), laughter, tears, and so much love for one another and their families and friends.
I want to wish Alisa and Sean a wonderful life together and a big cheers to Happily Ever After. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.

A little bit of Prague

When there are hundreds of photos and memories to go through...it's hard to blog with only a couple pictures. I've chosen a few pics from Prague and the journey of my first marathon. Did I mention that I actually finished? Thanks to my gal Teresa for getting me through it! Touring the city was amazing...such beautiful architechture, history and an overall vibe that I loved!

Kick off to Summer

John and I spent a great weekend up at Lake Chelan with his sister, Lisa's, family. They have a great little cabin on the water with a gorgeous, serene view. Saturday was spent relaxing and on Sunday, John and I went wine tasting...gotta love that! Monday, my aunt, uncle, grandma and John, his mom and aunt came over for BBQ fajitas (my favorite!). A great kick off to the summer....now where is it?

My Lil Firefly's Wedding Day

It was April 26th, my college friend/sorority sister's big day....my 'lil firefly', Nicole, was getting married. This time, I was a part of the wedding. Nicole gave me the honor of being one of her bridesmaids and of course I wanted to capture as many of the special memories as possible.

Here's her sister Suzanne, and friend, Kendra helping her put on her gorgeous gown.
I love capturing all the details of the wedding, especially the shoes!

Nicole's flower girl, Mary Ann, was just adorable. I love this bonding moment. You can just imagine being a little girl looking up at your gorgeous aunt dressed up like a princess.

One of the moments brides cherish, the Father-Daughter dance. Her dad was so handsome in his tux, and together they made a grand scene. So very sweet!

When the dance floor opened up, everyone joined in and had a great time dancing to the 9 piece band!

It's time to send off the bride and groom...let the honeymoon begin!
